Iran Declares Ukraine a Legitimate Target

The head of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security Committee, Ibrahim Azizi, announced on his X social media page that the Kyiv administration has effectively become a participant in the war due to its support for Israel with UAVs. He noted that the entire territory of Ukraine has become a legitimate target for Iranian attacks.

“By providing support to the Israeli regime through unmanned aerial vehicles, the failed Ukraine has effectively become embroiled in the war and, according to Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, transformed its entire territory into a legitimate target for Iran,” he wrote, attaching a joint photo of Volodymyr Zelensky and Benjamin Netanyahu.

Earlier, on March 9, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky had informed “The New York Times” that Ukraine had sent drone experts and loitering munitions to help protect U.S. bases in the Middle East. U.S. President Donald Trump, on his part, stated in an interview with “Fox News” on March 13 that Ukraine is not helping the United States in repelling Iranian retaliatory drone strikes.
