Bill Gates Apologizes for Ties to Epstein
Bill Gates has apologized for his connections with the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during a speech to his foundation's employees, Reuters reports.
According to documents published by the U.S. Department of Justice, Gates and Epstein met several times after Epstein's imprisonment to discuss opportunities for expanding the Microsoft co-founder's charitable programs.
Gates acknowledged that spending time with Epstein was a major error and that he had involved foundation leaders in meetings with him. “I apologize to everyone who was affected by my mistake in this matter,” he stated.
Gates also admitted to having had two romances with Russian women, which Epstein later learned about, but emphasized that these relationships had no connection to Epstein's victims. “I did nothing illegal and I saw nothing illegal,” he added.
