Opel Recalls 900,000 Vehicles Due to Airbag Malfunction Risk
Opel, the automobile manufacturer, has announced a recall of 900,000 vehicles worldwide due to a risk of unintended airbag deployment. The issue affects a range of models produced between 2005 and 2017.
The recall includes the Signum, Meriva, Astra, Cascada, Mokka, Vectra, and Zafira models. The company plans to conduct necessary technical inspections and, if needed, replace the relevant components.
According to German media reports, approximately 5.9 million Opel vehicles have already been recalled since 2013 for the same issue. This current action is a continuation of previously undertaken measures.
The automaker urges owners of the affected models to follow official notifications and visit service centers for the required work to be completed.
