Catholicos Refuses to Testify, Ara Zohrabyan

The Supreme Patriarch of All Armenians has refused to testify, and the purpose of the criminal proceedings was to disrupt the Episcopal Assembly. This was stated by his lawyer, Ara Zohrabyan, during a conversation with reporters.

“This is one of the shameful days in Armenia's history, a disgrace. This decision will lead to very bad consequences,” he said.

It is worth recalling that on February 14, the prosecutor's office initiated criminal proceedings against the Supreme Patriarch of All Armenians on charges of obstructing the execution of a court decision related to Arman Saroyan. The departure of the Supreme Patriarch from Armenia has been prohibited.
