Armenian Skier Finishes 53rd at the Olympic Games
Armenian representative Mikayel Mikayelyan competed in the men's 10 km freestyle event at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, starting individually. Mikayelyan completed the distance with a time of 23:06.4, securing 53rd place.
A total of 113 athletes participated in the race, and the Armenian skier managed to surpass the results of 60 competitors. The first place was claimed by Norwegian Johannes Høsflot Klæbo with a time of 20:36.2. The second position went to French skier Mathis Cinturier (20:41.1), while Norwegian Einar Dæhlie secured third place (20:50.2).
This victory marked Klæbo's third win at the Milan-Cortina Games. He already holds eight Olympic gold medals and has stated his aim to win all six golds available in cross-country skiing at these games, three of which he has already achieved.
