January 2026 Records Highest Tourist Influx in Armenia

January 2026 has proven to be the best January for tourism inflows in Armenia. This announcement was made by the Minister of Economy, Gevorg Papoyan, during an extraordinary session of the Permanent Commission on Financial and Budgetary Issues.

“This January, we saw a 39% increase in tourists arriving in Armenia compared to January of last year,” Papoyan noted. There has also been a proportional rise in tourists from Russia, ranging from 40% to 41%, and similar proportional growth has been observed from other countries as well.
