US Agrees to Iran's Proposal: Negotiation Venue Moves to Oman
Negotiations on Iran's nuclear program between the US and Iran are expected to take place on Friday in Oman, as reported by Axios. The publication states that the administration of US President Donald Trump has agreed to Iran's proposal to shift the location of negotiations from Turkey to Oman.
Meanwhile, discussions continue about whether several Arab and Muslim countries in the region will participate in the negotiations. Earlier, the official representative of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmail Baghaei, stated that preparatory work for the nuclear talks is being conducted within the framework of instructions from the Iranian president.
He noted that the programming phase is complete, but consultations about the final venue are ongoing, with an appropriate announcement expected soon. The Iranian Foreign Ministry official also informed that Turkey and Oman, along with other regional countries, have expressed willingness to host the discussions.
So far, Tehran and Washington have conducted five rounds of talks, but the sixth round did not take place after military strikes against Iran in June 2025.
