Kremlin Awaits Official Position from New Delhi on Oil Issues: Peskov

Russia's presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has stated that Moscow has not yet received any official announcement from India regarding a refusal to purchase Russian oil. According to him, such information has not been communicated from New Delhi.

Peskov made these remarks while responding to journalists' questions, commenting on the discussions that have arisen in the context of the recently announced trade agreement between India and the United States. He emphasized that Russian authorities rely only on official statements and confirmed communications.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a trade deal between the U.S. and India, which includes a mutual reduction of tariffs to 18 percent. According to the American side, this would be the lowest tariff among the countries of the Indian subcontinent.

The Russian side currently sees no change in India's position regarding the import of Russian energy resources and is awaiting an official stance from New Delhi if there are any changes.
