Georgia Deports Foreigners, Including Russians and Azerbaijanis

The Migration Department of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs has deported 57 foreign nationals from the country in recent days, including citizens from Russia. This information was disclosed in an official statement from the agency.

According to the Ministry, the deported individuals include citizens from Azerbaijan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Greece, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, India, Iran, Yemen, China, Cuba, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Russia, Syria, Turkey, Thailand, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. It was noted that these individuals are banned from re-entering the territory of Georgia.

The ministry also reported that a total of 232 migrants were deported from the country during the month of January alone. Georgia has recently intensified its efforts against illegal migration, which is linked to the tightening of migration legislation.

Last year, the Georgian Parliament adopted legislative changes that simplified the procedures for deportation and control measures. The Ministry regularly reports on the deportation of dozens of foreign nationals, and in 2025, the number of illegal migrants deported from the country exceeded 1,300, surpassing the figures of the previous six years.
