Iran's Foreign Ministry Makes Statement
Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has stated that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) plays a crucial role in maintaining security and stability in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz. He emphasized that all parties in the region must take this reality into account.
Baghaei highlighted that Iran conducts military exercises regularly and holds them annually according to an established schedule. He noted that this year's exercises will also be carried out at a high professional level.
According to the Ministry spokesperson, the primary goal of such exercises is to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities and enhance the preparedness of the armed forces. He stated that the exercises are not directed against any specific country and are conducted within the framework of national security.
Esmaeil Baghaei added that Iran will continue its defensive policy while maintaining regional security and the stable operation of maritime communication routes.
