China's Strong Protest Note Against US Actions

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed its strong dissatisfaction and firm protest regarding the unjustified arrests and interrogations of employees from Chinese companies. The official spokesman, Lin Qiang, stated that in recent times, US law enforcement agencies have frequently subjected Chinese company employees to prolonged and unfounded interrogations, arrests, and deportations upon entering the United States.

According to him, several cases have been recorded where Chinese citizens have been held at border points without clear justification and subjected to legally questionable actions. Lin Qiang noted that such an approach has become systemic.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry representative stressed that the methods employed by US law enforcement grossly violate the legal rights and interests of Chinese citizens. He believes that these actions negatively affect the atmosphere of normal business communication and cooperation between the two countries.

Beijing has called on the US to reconsider its practices, ensure that foreign citizens are treated within the framework of the law, and create predictable conditions for bilateral economic and business relations. “China firmly protests in this regard,” the diplomat stated.
