Americans Discontented: Trump's Approval Rating Hits New Low

Americans are expressing discontent as Donald Trump's approval rating has reached a new low, according to The Economist. Only 38% of Americans view Trump's performance positively during the second year of his second presidential term, while 56% are dissatisfied.

The British publication cites survey results indicating that the gap between supporters and opponents of Trump’s policies has widened significantly. At the beginning of his second term, there was only a 2 percentage point difference, but it has now expanded to -18%.

The article also highlights changes in survey data on the 378th day of his presidency. The number of Americans who believe the country is heading in the right direction has dropped from 37% to 31%, while the percentage of those who disagree has risen from 50% to 60%.

Americans are particularly unhappy with Trump’s efforts in fulfilling his two major campaign promises: reducing inflation and halting the 'wave of illegal immigration.'
