Volkanovski Does Not Rule Out Fight with Arman Tsarukyan

The UFC lightweight champion Alexander Volkanovski has discussed his future plans, not ruling out the possibility of a fight with Armenian fighter Arman Tsarukyan.

The Australian champion noted that he is ready to compete against both Movsar Evloev and Arman Tsarukyan if the latter decides to change weight classes.

“I love challenges. Tsarukyan would definitely be a serious competitor. If he manages to drop to our weight class, that would be a significant test. The same goes for Movsar Evloev. Of course, I still have business to handle this weekend. But Movsar, Murphy, or even Arman, if he comes into our weight class, that would definitely be something unique. I feel that my takedown defense is quite reliable,” Volkanovski was quoted by BJ Penn.

Arman Tsarukyan has competed in the lightweight division (70 kg) throughout his career and is currently one of the top contenders for the title. Volkanovski fights in the featherweight division (66 kg).

This weekend, Volkanovski will compete at UFC 325, where he will have a rematch with Diego Lopez.
