The EU Has Made a Serious Mistake: Abbas Araqchi
Events occurring in our region are the result of illegal interventions from certain forces outside the region. This was stated by Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi during a meeting with Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
“The Israeli regime seeks to weaken the countries of the region through various schemes. The intention and desire of the Israeli regime to incite war has never diminished. Our past experience has constantly shown that the US has never been loyal and has not acted with goodwill. Nevertheless, Iran continues to be ready for all diplomatic processes. We support a negotiation process that will be legitimate, rational, fair, and respect our legal rights. They must set aside their threats,” Araqchi said.
He noted that Iran supports the preservation of Syria's territorial integrity and called for an end to the occupation by the Zionist regime. “Military attack is not an option. The US conducted a military strike last June and failed to achieve any of its objectives. They have repeatedly asked us to negotiate through various mediators and continue to make these requests,” stated the Iranian Foreign Minister.
Araqchi added that if the Revolutionary Guards Corps did not exist, Europe would not be able to fight against ISIS and other terrorist groups, and today that struggle would have moved to the streets of Europe. “Europeans do not appreciate what has been done for them. The Revolutionary Guards saved the world from a major terrorist organization. The EU has made a serious mistake, and I believe it will soon understand that mistake,” Araqchi emphasized.
