Hayk Sargsyan to Appear on the Accused's Chair: "Hraparak"
As the elections approach, Nikol Pashinyan is intent on instilling fear not only in his political opponents through criminal prosecutions but also among his own allies. According to sources within the government, law enforcement agencies are preparing materials against Hayk Sargsyan, an MP from the ruling party, who was not included in the candidate list for the upcoming elections. Sargsyan contested this decision but was rejected again, after which he hinted at revealing names of those who have fought against him.
This is reported by the newspaper "Hraparak." The publication notes that Hayk Sargsyan's name is also being mentioned in connection with the corruption case involving Hovik Aghazaryan. Witnesses in the case spoke about him during phone conversations, claiming that previously, the sheep export business was entirely in Hayk's hands.
It should be noted that yesterday, Pashinyan commented on him, stating, "I do not believe that the actions aimed at making the content of those discussions public serve Mr. Sargsyan's interests. This story is simply about one thing: the ruling party will not tolerate the problematic actions of its members in an irregular, corrupt context."
