Trump May Start War with Iran, Says Iranian Parliament Speaker

The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, stated in an interview with CNN that Tehran is ready to negotiate with the U.S. administration if the discussions are genuine and aimed at reaching an agreement. He emphasized that if negotiations adhere to international norms and have the objective of achieving a consensus, Iran is open to them.

However, he pointed out that such negotiations are unlike those desired by the U.S. President, as he believes the latter is trying to impose his will on others.

Qalibaf also remarked that if Donald Trump is truly honest and wants to win the Nobel Peace Prize, he should strive for real peace and first rid himself of those provoking war and those who wish to subjugate Iran.

The Iranian Parliament Speaker additionally warned that Trump could start a war with Iran but would not be able to control its consequences. According to him, thousands of American soldiers, deployed thousands of kilometers away from home to the Middle East, would inevitably suffer, which is not a good outcome.
