Low Activity of Respiratory Infection Cases Recorded in Armenia

During the 4th week of 2026, a low level of illness due to acute respiratory infections was registered in Armenia. This information has been reported by the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

"The incidence has decreased by 1.1 times compared to the previous week, and is 2.1 times lower than the same period in 2025. Almost 75.4% of the total cases involve individuals aged 0-18, with the highest rates continuing to be recorded among those aged 0-4 years," the statement indicates.

In the Republic of Armenia, H3N2 and H1pdm09 subtypes of Influenza A, as well as other respiratory viruses such as rhinovirus, respiratory syncytial virus, parainfluenza, bocavirus, and adenovirus, are still circulating.
