Narek is only the de jure candidate, while de facto it will be Samvel Karapetyan: 'Hraparak'

During the founding congress of Samvel Karapetyan's "Strong Armenia" party, it will be announced that the candidate for Prime Minister is Narek Karapetyan, Samvel Karapetyan's nephew, who is the coordinator of the "Our Way" movement. This is reported by the newspaper "Hraparak."

"However, there are heated discussions within the team about how to present this news; some believe that Narek Karapetyan is too young for this position. Apparently, they will announce that Narek is only the de jure candidate, while de facto it will be Samvel Karapetyan, who, according to Armenian legislation, has no right to be included in the list of candidates for parliament and to claim the position of Prime Minister, as he does not meet the legal requirements. The 'Our Way' movement understands that it was created around Samvel Karapetyan's personality, he is, so to speak, the main hero, and the public expects his direct participation in the political processes, which, although impossible at this stage, will become possible after their victory of strength and legislative changes," the newspaper writes.
