Current Conditions on Roads in Armenia

The Emergency Situations Service reports that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia. The roads from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region to Amberd Fortress and the Stone Lake are closed.

The roads from the Noravan intersection to Goris and Tatev, Tatev-Shinuhayr-Goris, and Noravan-Ltsen-Kapan (blizzard conditions) are closed for all types of vehicles. The roads from Ttujur to Navur and from Tashir to Blagodonoye (blizzard conditions) are also closed for all types of vehicles.

The road from the Jermuk intersection to Noravan is closed for vehicles with trailers. The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to traverse for vehicles with trailers (only with the use of snow chains).

There are patches of black ice on the roads of Aparan, Aragats, Sevan, Jambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Sisian, Goris, Ashotq, Amasia, and Dilijan regions. Blizzard conditions are reported in the Aragats and Tashir regions, as well as in the Jambarak mountain pass.

According to information received from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the crisis management center of the North Ossetia Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles.
