Belgium Included in Peace Council Members List Instead of Belarus

The White House has included Belgium in the list of members of the Peace Council, replacing Belarus. According to NBC News, the U.S. government has released a list of 19 countries that signed the Peace Council's charter in Davos. Belgium was also on the list, despite not having signed anything.

Media reports suggest that the White House likely confused Belgium with Belarus. Previously, it was reported that the charter of the 'Peace Council' allows membership based on voluntary financial contributions. A country invited by U.S. President Trump may join the council without a specifically defined membership fee for a period of up to three years, subject to review after that timeframe.
