Narek Samsonian Transferred Back to Prison, Lawyer Says

Narek Samsonian's hunger strike continues. Currently, on the 14th day of his strike, he is located in cell number 6 of the 'Armavir' Penitentiary. His decision to end the hunger strike can only happen based on a doctor's recommendation for restorative treatment at his chosen medical facility, along with the necessary examinations and urgent surgery.

This was announced by Samsonian's lawyer, Astghik Matevosyan.

“Today, Narek was transferred from the 'Armavir' penitentiary to 'Izmirlian' Medical Center, where he expressed the desire to undergo examinations and surgery due to the need for immediate surgical intervention. For the required examinations to be conducted, Narek's body needed to be prepared, which meant he needed urgent hospitalization for restorative treatment.

Relevant documents were submitted to the 'Penitentiary Medical Center' SNCO, but instead of granting him permission for hospitalization, they decided to return him to 'Armavir' penitentiary.

It should be noted that the decision to end Narek Samsonian's hunger strike can only take place based on a doctor's indication at his chosen medical institution for restorative treatment, examinations, and urgent surgery.
