Approximately $80 Million in Damages to the State Recovered in 2025

Approximately $80 million in damages caused to the state has been recovered in 2025. This information was provided by the Public Relations Department of the RA General Prosecutor's Office, which presented a summary of the data from criminal proceedings under the supervision of the Department for the Investigation of Crimes Against Economic Activity.

The recovered damages also include a company valued at 1 billion 755 million drams, which holds strategic significance. In completed criminal proceedings, 15 billion 440 million drams, equivalent to approximately $41 million 174 thousand, have been recovered from the damages caused to the state. For comparison, this figure exceeds the damages reported in 2024 by approximately 2.4 billion drams.

Recoveries of damages to the state have been conducted regarding offenses committed by former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Holy See Mikael Minasian, the brother of former Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, and the brother of former MP Aragat Akhoyan, as well as individuals connected with them. Investigations also cover the family members of former MP Karo Karapetyan, as well as crimes committed by former MPs Nahapet Gevorgyan, Harutyun Pambukyan, and their family members, among others.
