Blizzard Hits Artik Region's Roads

The Rescue Service informs that there are closed roads within the territory of the Republic of Armenia. The following roads are closed in the Aragatsotn region: the road from the 'Amberd' high mountain meteorological station to the Amberd Fortress, the Gndevaz-Kechut road, the Noyemberyan-Vazgen Sargsyan road, and the Navur-Chambarak road. The Meghr Highland pass, the Ttujur-Navur road, the Gndevaz-Jermuk road, and the road from Jermuk junction to Kapan are closed for vehicles with trailers.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers and is difficult to navigate for other vehicles. There are patches of black ice on the roads of Aparan, Aragats, Dilijan, Sevan, Chambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Sisian, Goris, Ashotzk, and Amasia regions. There is a blizzard on the roads of the Artik region.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia's North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
