TRIP-PPP Opens Opportunities and Risks for Armenia
“In our times, small countries fare better because their governments are more dynamic and active. TRIP-PPP currently opens both opportunities and risks for Armenia, bringing the United States to a guarantor level,” stated Narek Karapetyan, coordinator of the 'In Our Way' movement, during a press conference.
He added that our overall vision for foreign policy is that our peace treaty should have more than one guarantor. Having multiple guarantors is the only serious guarantee for long-term peace. The paper is a quite variable entity during negotiations with the Turks, whereas the guarantors are stable.
“The five steps will take place over five years, keeping this in mind, I want to make a remark. The first year of the change of power will be a preparation year for these processes, serious changes will be felt from the second year, and by the third year we will face the results. There will be hundreds of investment programs developed, and the Ministry of Economy will prepare an investment program for each region of Armenia. An unprecedented amount of investment will enter the country, we have shown the way,” noted Karapetyan, addressing the timelines in which issues will be resolved should they come to power.
