Lavrov Questions London's Role on Behalf of the EU
London has increasingly started to speak on behalf of the EU. Perhaps they have already submitted an application for reunification, sarcastically noted Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in response to a question about whether Russia is ready to allow Europeans to play a role in Ukraine.
“London, which, by the way, speaks more and more on behalf of the European Union. I don’t even know, maybe they have submitted an application for reunification,” he said during a press conference summarizing Russia's diplomatic activities for 2025.
The Russian Foreign Minister emphasized that a group consisting of four European leaders, including UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, is not interested in resolving the Ukrainian conflict. They advocate for a ceasefire with legal guarantees for Ukraine's security, pursuing the aim of maintaining a Nazi regime in Ukraine.
“Now it seems that these are indeed guarantees for the preservation of the current Nazi regime in the part of Ukraine that will be retained by this regime,” he added.
