Ktrich Nersisyan Gifted a Portion of Saint Geghard to a Representative of Another State: Konjoryan

The opposition accused us yesterday of plundering the Armenian Apostolic Church, making allegations of attacking the church, stated Haik Konjoryan, the leader of the Civil Contract faction in the National Assembly.

“Ktrich Nersisyan has gifted a portion of Saint Geghard, belonging to the Church, to a representative of another state. Ktrich Nersisyan, whose brother, according to a published document, is an agent of the KGB. Subsequently, another clergyman from Ktrich Nersisyan's inner circle, Asoghik, stated that Ktrich Nersisyan has the absolute right to gift any relic to anyone, regardless of whether that person is secular or clergical. Here we recall that Ktrich Nersisyan, who has taken the vow of celibacy, has violated that vow and has one or more secular children. As Asoghik says, Ktrich Nersisyan can donate anything to his secular children, who in turn can gift it to others or third states. Now our opposition claims that it is we who have attacked the church and not Ktrich Nersisyan,” said Konjoryan.
