Public Services Regulatory Commission Aware of HEC Issues: David Ghazinyan
The Public Services Regulatory Commission has been aware of various issues arising in the operations of the Electric Networks of Armenia (HEC), but remaining silent is now more beneficial. This statement was made by David Ghazinyan, the former acting director of HEC, during the court proceedings regarding the claim filed by Tashir Capital in the Administrative Court of Armenia.
“The shortcomings that the commission periodically speaks about have never been systemic in nature. The lapses recorded in one branch of HEC have never been repeated in other branches, and it is impossible to talk about any consistency. Let me put it this way: one branch could service two regions, but there could be certain shortcomings in the networks of one region, while there were no issues elsewhere. In other words, it is impossible to speak of a systemic problem,” Ghazinyan stated.
He assured that there have never been any issues at the headquarters. Ghazinyan emphasized that he does not even believe that the head of one of the branches would take actions that would harm the company.
