Medications in Armenia Should Be Priced Like in Georgia, Says Karapetyan
“Many of you know that people go to Georgia to buy medications because they are cheaper there. We are going to implement Georgia’s system here. There are medications that are almost 20-30% cheaper. We will follow the same path that Georgia has taken to reduce medication prices,” announced Narek Karapetyan, the coordinator of the “Our Way” movement, in Malatia-Sebastia community, addressing the issue of medication prices in Armenia, which are significantly higher than in neighboring Georgia.
“We need to create very well-paying jobs in Armenia. The leader of Armenia should think day and night about creating jobs so that there are many opportunities available, allowing individuals to choose where they want to go and at what salary. Young people should have the opportunity to engage in entrepreneurship or find employment elsewhere. This is the way to have a normal country. We are not asking for much; we are not promising golden mountains; half the countries in the world have followed this path,” he stated.
In conclusion, Karapetyan declared that Armenia currently ranks 110th in the world in terms of poverty levels.
