Kazakhstan's President Receives Invitation from Trump to Join Gaza Peace Council

Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has received an invitation from U.S. President Donald Trump to join the Gaza Peace Council, announced the President's press secretary Ruslan Zheldybai.

"Yes, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was one of the first world leaders to receive an official invitation to join the Peace Council, and for Kazakhstan to become one of the founding states. In response, the head of state has sent a letter to the U.S. President expressing sincere gratitude and confirming his agreement to join this new organization," Zheldybai said, according to Kazakhstan's Tengrinews news site.

Trump previously announced the establishment of the Gaza Peace Council and promised to soon publish its members. The council includes U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Trump's special envoy Scott Wiktor, the American leader's son-in-law and investor Jared Kushner, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, World Bank President Ajay Banga, and Deputy National Security Advisor Robert Gabriel, the White House reported on Saturday.
