Black Ice on Some Roads
As of January 19, at 20:00, all inter-state and national roads in Armenia are open. Organizations responsible for road maintenance continue to clear and treat the roads with salt and sand.
Mountain passes such as Ketti, the twists of Dilijan, Vanadzor-Dilijan, Voskevaz-Jujavan, and the road from the junction of Jermuk to Kapan are closed only for vehicles with trailers. The Loushashogh-Lanjarr road is impassable for all types of vehicles. The Kuchak-Mirak road is difficult to pass only for vehicles with trailers.
The Vardaghbyur-Bavra road and Vardenyats Pass are closed for vehicles with trailers, while other vehicles find it difficult to pass. Snowstorms are affecting the Saravan-Zanger, Aparan-Aragats roads, and roads in the Artik region.
Snow is falling in the regions of Artik, Ashotzk, Aparan, Aragats, Sevan, Gavar, Jambarak, Goris, and Dilijan. There are patches of black ice on the roads of Aparan, Aragats, Sevan, Dilijan, Jambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Sisian, Goris, Ashotzk, and Amasia.
