Snowfall in Several Regions of Armenia: Road Conditions

As of January 17, at 17:05, the Vardenyats Pass is closed to trailer vehicles, while other vehicles face difficult conditions. This has been reported by the Road Department Foundation.

Light snowfall is occurring in the regions of Ashotsk and Aparan. Areas including Aparan, Aragats, Sevan, Dilijan, Chambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Sisian, Goris, Ashotsk, and Amasya are experiencing patches of black ice on the roads.

All inter-state and republican highways are open. Road construction teams are actively working on clearing and treating the roads with salt and sand.

We urge drivers to remain vigilant, strictly adhere to traffic rules, and travel exclusively with winter tires.
