Former Deputy Minister of Labor of the Russian Federation Found Dead at His Residence

The body of Alexey Sklyar, the former Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, was discovered on January 15 at his private home in Moscow. According to media reports, the official's residence is located in the village of Filimonkovo. Emergency services arrived at the scene. The door to Sklyar's house was open, and his body was found lying near the entrance. Investigators are currently looking into the circumstances of the incident.

Shortly before his death, Sklyar reportedly expressed concerns about his wife's acquaintance, who is now working at the Ministry of Digital Development. This information was reported by Life. According to journalists, the former official had blamed his wife’s acquaintance in a message sent shortly before his death. He also warned his wife that by the time she read the message, he would already be deceased.

Alexey Sklyar assumed the position of Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation in 2018. He was tasked with overseeing the development of information systems and the provision of electronic governance services. In 2022, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree dismissing the official from his position.
