A Journalist from The Washington Post Arrested in the U.S. for Leak of Classified Information

The U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has announced that last week, the home of a journalist from The Washington Post was searched in connection with an investigation into the leak of classified information at the request of the Department of Defense and the Department of Justice.

According to Bondi, the journalist received and published classified information that was illegally transmitted by a Pentagon contractor. Bondi clarified that the journalist has already been arrested and is currently in custody. Authorities are not releasing further details about the investigation at this time.
