Whitcoff Secretly Met with Reza Pahlavi, Axios Reports

U.S. Special Envoy Steve Whitcoff secretly met with Reza Pahlavi to discuss the nationwide protests occurring in Iran, according to Axios. This marks the first high-level meeting between the Iranian opposition and the administration of Donald Trump since the protests began 15 days ago.

White House Press Secretary Carolyn Livit informed reporters that the White House National Security team held a meeting on Tuesday morning to discuss potential responses to the protests. Trump did not attend the meeting.
