US Attempts to Destabilize Situation in Iran, Says Iranian President

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has announced that the United States is attempting to destabilize the situation in the country by encouraging participants of protest actions. He stated that Washington is taking such measures at a time when it previously claimed to advocate for diplomacy and dialogue.

Pezeshkian noted that the international community has witnessed how the US government has, in his words, struck blows to the diplomatic processes during negotiations, violated international norms and rules, and committed acts he characterized as crimes against humanity. In his assessment, the US is now trying to achieve the same goals through different methods.

According to the Iranian president, Washington, by comparing the Islamic Republic to other countries, is trying to incite certain groups to unrest. He emphasized that such attempts will not be successful.

Pezeshkian declared that the Iranian people will continue to support their country and government, demonstrating greater cohesion. His statements were quoted by the Iranian Tasnim news agency.
