Announcement Regarding the Leader of the Mashtots Diocese

The Reform Coordinating Council of the Armenian Apostolic Church has issued a statement emphasizing that church life is seriously disrupted and is operating outside of natural and canonical order.

"We consider the unjust accusations voiced against Bishop Gevorg Saroyan, the leader of the Mashtots Diocese, and the imposition of illegal directives by the person occupying the throne of the Supreme Patriarch Catholicos of All Armenians as of January 10 of this year, to be illegitimate and subject to rejection," the statement from the Coordinating Council of the Armenian Apostolic Church reads.

The statement also highlights that the ongoing processes have a significant impact on the internal life of the church and do not comply with the current ecclesiastical rules and traditions.
