US Ground Operation in Venezuela Would Be Bloody: Medvedev

If the US were to initiate a ground operation in Venezuela, it would be far more bloody than the shameless kidnapping by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, said Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council.

"Yes, oil is the main factor here. But even that won't be easy. What if the current Venezuelan authorities refuse to share it with the Americans for a long time? Will Trump really start a ground operation? Congress will certainly play a significant role here, and it would be much bloodier than Maduro's shameless kidnapping," Medvedev wrote on Telegram.
