US and Venezuela Take Steps Towards Diplomatic Relationship Restoration
The United States and Venezuela have begun taking steps towards restoring diplomatic relations. To this end, a delegation from the US State Department has arrived in Caracas to assess the potential reactivation of the diplomatic missions of both countries. This was announced by Venezuela's Foreign Minister Ivan Gil.
At the same time, Venezuela also plans to send its diplomats to the United States. According to official sources, this move is intended to facilitate the restoration of direct communication.
The initiatives from both sides indicate that Washington and Caracas are attempting to emerge from a prolonged diplomatic hiatus and create new conditions for dialogue.
Recall that it was previously reported that Venezuela's interim president had applied to the White House for permission to visit.
