Zakharova Outlines Conditions for Peace Settlement in Ukraine
A peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine is possible based on the elimination of underlying causes. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Moscow confirms that a peaceful solution to the conflict is possible "exclusively on the basis of eliminating its underlying causes, Ukraine returning to a neutral non-aligned status, its demilitarization and denazification, ensuring the linguistic, cultural, and religious rights and freedoms of individuals, ethnic Russians, Russian-speaking citizens, and representatives of national minorities by Kyiv, as well as recognizing contemporary territorial realities formed as a result of the exercise of the right to self-determination of peoples," the diplomat noted.
“All of these objectives will undoubtedly be realized either through political-diplomatic means or through a special military operation, during which the initiative on the battlefield is fully maintained by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation,” Zakharova emphasized.
