Over 10,000 Flights Delayed in the U.S. Due to Bad Weather

According to data from the specialized portal FlightAware, more than 10,000 flights have been delayed in the U.S. Midwest and Northeastern states due to bad weather. The portal reported that on Monday and Tuesday mornings, an additional 1,900 flights were canceled.

The National Weather Service noted that these regions were impacted by heavy snowfall and blizzard-like winds. Specifically, wind speeds in Chicago, Illinois, reached 25 mph in some areas on Monday evening.

The adverse weather has disrupted transportation activities in these areas. In addition to widespread flight cancellations and delays, numerous road traffic accidents have also been reported. NBC estimates that nearly 110 million people have been affected by the adverse weather conditions.
