Hamas Will 'Pay a High Price' If Not Disarmed, Trump

US President Donald Trump has expressed hope to quickly transition to the second phase of the peace plan for Gaza, which includes 20 points. Trump stated, 'Hamas will 'pay a high price' if it is not disarmed soon.'

During a press conference following a meeting with Netanyahu, Trump mentioned that Israel is '100% on the right track.' When asked when Hamas and Israel should move to the second phase of the peace plan, Trump responded, 'As soon as possible. But disarmament must take place: If Hamas does not disarm according to the agreement, it will pay a high price for it.'

The Gaza peace plan came into effect in October. The second phase includes the establishment of a technocratic government in the devastated area, disarmament of Hamas, and the withdrawal of Israeli forces. Reconstruction of Gaza will begin thereafter.
