Decision to Detain Vazgen Sahakyan for Two Months Upheld

Vazgen Sahakyan, the creator of the "Imnemnim" podcast, will remain in detention. This was announced by his lawyer Arsen Babayan on his social media page.

"I have learned from the Appeal Court that the decision made by Roman Smbatyan to detain political prisoner Vazgen Sahakyan for two months has not been overturned. I am not currently commenting on the Appeal Court's decision, as I have not yet received the actual ruling and am not familiar with the grounds for the 'non-appeal.' The law stipulates a three-day period for sending the decision to the parties involved," Babayan stated.

It should be noted that the creators of the "Imnemnim" podcast, Vazgen Sahakyan and Narek Samsonyan, were arrested. They are facing public criminal prosecution under Article 297, Part 2, Points 1 and 3 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism committed by a group of individuals using information or communication technologies).
