Cold Snap Expected in Spain

A weather alert has been issued in Spain for regions expected to experience a sharp cold snap. This particularly affects the mountainous areas, especially the province of León, as reported by the Spanish national meteorological agency.

In Catalonia, an orange warning has been issued for coastal areas of Girona due to strong storms. A yellow warning remains in effect for those coastal regions where frost has been declared. Heavy precipitation is again expected in these areas. Meteorologists are also warning about the possibility of avalanches in the Girona-Pyrenees region.
