Cases of Non-Presentation of Problematic Products to Russia Have Decreased

The control over the phytosanitary inspection of Armenian products at Russian border checkpoints has significantly improved. This fact was recorded during a meeting between Tigran Petrosyan, head of the Armenian Food Safety Inspection Authority, and Sergey Dankvert, head of Rosselkhoznadzor.

During the meeting, it was noted that the cases of non-presentation of problematic products have decreased from over 70% to 6%.

As a result of the negotiations, supplies of phytosanitary products from another company will be restored, provided that guarantees are presented by the Food Safety Inspection Authority. “The Russian side has expressed its willingness to consider and restore supplies from other enterprises as well, in cases where the necessary materials and the guarantees of the Food Safety Inspection Authority are provided,” the statement said.

Petrosyan also presented Armenia’s interest in importing Russian vaccines against various animal diseases.
