We Are Ready to Prove It: Pashinyan on Territorial Claims

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has given the impression that his Azerbaijani counterparts are eager for the Constitution of Armenia to include territorial claims against Azerbaijan.

"There are no territorial claims, and we are ready to prove that," he stated during an address in Germany.

Pashinyan mentioned that if Azerbaijan believes there are territorial claims in the Armenian Constitution, the fastest solution to this issue would be to sign a peace treaty and send it to the Constitutional Court.

"When our Constitutional Court declares that it fully aligns with our Constitution, it will go to the National Assembly for ratification, thereby gaining the highest legal force. In that case, there will be no territorial claims and there cannot be any. However, if the Constitutional Court decides that the agreement does not comply with our Constitution, I have said that it is my duty to initiate constitutional amendments," he declared.
