Narishkin on Russia's Interference in Other Countries' Domestic Affairs

Russia does not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, unlike the West. This was stated by Sergei Narishkin, the head of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service.

According to him, one of the prevalent myths is that Russian intelligence allegedly seeks to penetrate the political and social institutions of Western countries to expose weaknesses and eliminate strong competitors.

Russia has been repeatedly accused of meddling in the internal affairs of other countries. In May of this year, Poland's Minister of Digitalization Krzysztof Gavkowski accused Russia of an "unprecedented attempt to interfere in presidential elections." Similar accusations have also been made by the current government of Moldova, which has accused Russia of attempting to interfere in the electoral process scheduled for September 2025.
