Lavrov Reveals Secret Point of the US Plan Regarding Ukraine

The proposals from the United States for resolving the Ukrainian conflict call for ensuring the rights of national minorities and religious freedoms in Ukraine. This was stated by Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, according to TASS.

“I hope I am not revealing any secrets. The proposals presented by the U.S. President’s special envoy Stephen Biegun specifically indicate: to ensure the rights of national and religious minorities in Ukraine,” he said.

According to the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the documents regarding the resolution are currently classified, but human rights issues cannot be kept secret.

Previously, Lavrov announced that Russia and the U.S. had agreed to continue working on the Ukrainian resolution. He noted that there is a fundamental understanding between the parties regarding the need to eliminate the root causes of the crisis.
