They Are Moving in the Wrong Direction: Trump on Europe

Washington wants to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict and save lives, stated Donald Trump. The U.S. president added that Europe should be cautious as well.

“We want Europe to remain Europe. They are moving in the wrong direction. We do not want Europe to change so much,” emphasized the leader of the White House.

Meanwhile, Matthew Whitaker, U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO, warned that Trump might abandon efforts to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict if he realizes that Moscow and Kyiv are unable to reach a peace agreement. At the same time, Whitaker expressed that peace in Ukraine is now closer than ever.

“Trump understands how to exert pressure on both sides. For an agreement to be reached, both Russia and Ukraine need to participate,” concluded the American official.
