Netanyahu's Office Issues Statement

Israel has not abandoned the security agreement with Syria. This was stated in a release from Netanyahu's office.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has protested against the publication by Asharq Al-Awsat, asserting that the information released by him was incorrect.

It is noted that according to the publication, Netanyahu and Syria's temporary president Ahmad al-Sharaa were expected to sign the document in September in New York during the UN General Assembly; however, the Israeli Prime Minister changed his mind at the last moment.
