Most of Kyiv Remains Without Electricity: Times of Ukraine

Almost all of Kyiv was plunged into darkness, reports the "Times of Ukraine." "More than 70 percent of the capital has been left without power," the publication stated on its Telegram channel.

According to the Ukrainian energy company DTEK, emergency electricity disconnection schedules were earlier introduced in Kyiv and the Odessa region. Later, the Ministry of Energy announced the cancellation of the emergency schedules and the introduction of time-based schedules. Even during planned outages, approximately half of the population could be cut off from electricity at any moment.

On October 10, massive and multi-hour power outages began across Ukraine. Authorities reported damage to the power grid and utility systems due to Russian military strikes.
